That the implementation of the Official Language Policy in banks and the financial institutions is being monitored and reviewed by the Reserve Bank of India and the Rajbhasha Vibhag of the Central Government in quarterly meetings. Such meetings are called Official Language Implementation Committee meetings (OLIC). These meetings are attended by, apart from the representatives of the RBI and the Rajbhasha Vibhag, by the officials of the rank of General Managers of Banks & Financial Institutions as also the Rajbhasha officials posted in the banks & financial institutions. The progress of achievement of the targets set under the Annual Programs and the action taken on the resolutions passed in such earlier meetings is not satisfactory.
